AirDog wins 'Best Robot or Drone' at CES 2015

In Vegas with the Airdog team & Madars Apse

Earlier this year, at CES we humbly walked away a 'Best of CES' winner in the category of ‘Best Robot or Drone'. While pretty stoked about this, we’re continuing to look forward to what’s to come in the future. CES always provides a great atmosphere for those based in the tech and electronics world and it was pretty fun to hang out with many that were there. Part of our team was present and accepted the award.

To note, the CES Awards were presented by Engadget, which is one of the leading tech and gadget blogs on the web. Here’s a what James Trew, Engadget’s Deputy Managing Editor had to say:

"What separated AirDog from the many (many) other drones at CES this year was its clear focus. Its sole purpose is to be your dedicated aerial cameraman. It supports Sony and GoPro cameras, follows you wherever you go, folds down to a backpack-friendly size and comes with custom "modes" for different sports. It may be designed to follow, but when it comes to action sports video, it leads."

Check out The Verge’s video and Engadget’s video from CES.

Skating Madars

While in sunny Las Vegas we brought along pro skater Madars Apse to go through some runs on a halfpipe we set up, AirDog followed Madars and captured footage in order to provide a little show and tell for those at CES. You’ll notice in the photos AirDog had to be leashed (not to be confused with AirLeash) for event security reasons, of course, you won’t have to worry about this when you’re out to sea or on the slopes.
